Coppelia

The end of May meant one thing around here and that was the end of the ballet season and Callie's performance in Coppelia.  She was very excited and just a little nervous too.  Everything went perfectly wonderful except Granny and Poppy were not able to come and our camera decided to not flash!  We were sad that Granny and Poppy were missing and I was really ticked about the camera.  Thanks to our good friend, Mr. O, we have some pictures to share.  Callie and all the girls did a wonderful job, thanks to their teacher, Mrs. Hume.  She is a very patient and sweet teacher and she does an amazing job with these girls.

The girls have to wear weird eye makeup or the lights with make them look like they have no eyes at all

Isn't she lovely?

Callie was a little melancholy that evening and the next day.  I assumed she was tired, but she said she was "sad because ballet was over".  I, on the other hand, was quite happy to have a little freedom back in our week nights for a while.

Sweetness

This was taken at the Levi Coffin home in Fountaintown, IN.  This was one of our Indiana history field trips.

Last night we had some pretty intense thunder and lightning.  The kind that rocks the house.  Both girls ended up in our bed and poor Cameron on the couch.  Kate had been in with us for about 15 minutes when Callie came down.  Cameron got up and Callie got in and Kate said, "Callie, lets hold hands".  How sweet is that?!

Missed pics from previous post... Oooops!

More views from the homestead

Welcome to our first post...

Greetings to all who have stumbled upon this blog. To say that we are beginners, newbies, or rookies to posting on our own blog would be an insult to those groups! This will be a work in progress, and most of what is posted will likely be pictures. We hope you enjoy what we do here...
Callie has become quite the nature photographer. Any day when we can get out and snap a few shots of God's beautiful creation is a bonus!
