Reunion in Richmond

 Last Sunday we had  the pleasure of meeting up with one of the families that were in our travel group to China.  I have kept in touch with the Mom through Facebook and blogging, but we hadn't seen each other for about seven years.

{My camera and my computer are not wanting to cooperate with each other at all!  It's been a very busy week and I'm giving up on getting the rest of the pictures on here for now.  Go here for some really great pictures of our day.}

They were heading West and we were planning on meeting them in Indy, but some unexpected RV trouble landed them a bit stranded in Richmond, IN.  We figured since they had driven all the way from Maine we could go a couple of hours to Richmond!

We had the best time!!  We met them at a Model T Ford museum that was small but very cool.  It's amazing what some of those first vehicles looked like.  There was even a "snowmobile".

Then we headed to the coolest pizza place ever!  Clara's Pizza King in Richmond is worth the drive.  The interior is just awesome.  {You really have to head over to Mothership  Adventures and see her pics!}

After that we headed to their RV and had cookies and coffee.  The older kids play some games and Kate and "Little Miss" decided had a good time playing and even watched a video that they had of our time in China.

Of course it took Kate and "Little Miss" a while to get going, but once they did, they had a great time together.  Callie and "Missy" were able to re-connect (they both were in China)  and we got to meet the brothers too.

It was a fantastic afternoon!  Hopefully we won't wait seven more years before seeing them again!!

  1. Looks like great fun! I love the unique restaurant, such a great idea. Isn't it fun to spend time with people who share so many common interests!? It looks like Kate was taller than her friend, too! That girl may end up passing you up, too! ;)
